Tank refinish

I have an old alum tank that has just about ALL the original paint chipped off. Should I just leave it like that or consider repainting it?

If so, whats the best paints to use for this application?

Most people (who have done it) will tell you to strip it with "Aircraft Stripper" from your local auto parts store, and leave it bare aluminum.
