do most pony bottles come with the k valve ? I don't seem to recall having seen a din pony bottle. is this the standard? just being curious. thanks

I think it is more of a personal prefernce/situational application kind of thing.....

Recreational guy in OW...probably a K valve...

Tech guy in a wreck...probably a DIN valve

a tech diver probably would dive doubles instead of using a pony bottle :)

When you place an order for a Pony/Stage/Deco bottle just request what type of valve you want on it.

I use DIN on everything, that way if anything breaks it can be swapped out.

o.k...I'll say stage if that makes you happy....fact is that the bottle needs a valve....call it a pony/stage/deco/tank/jug/can/(I think you get my point)

You should have the same kind of valve on your 'additional' tank that will allow you to swap in the event of an emergency
