Manifold interchangeability

Hi,

Does anybody know what manifold crossovers and modular valve brands are interchangable (probably made by same company but re-labled)?

I know that OMS face seal and some Euro Faber manifolds are compatable. Are there any others?

Thanks,

Depending on the manufacturing dates "H", Sea Elite, and Dive Rite were/are interchangeable for some time.

Would that match the current Thermo manifolds? What is the differance between the Old and the NEW Dive Rite?

Caution: I don't have a new dive-rite manifold... But it seems like the only differences are looks cause they are using the same service parts.

I have been making different length manifold center sections for people that are using small diameter tanks. I just don't want to buy additional modular valves from manufacturers that are interchangable with the ones that I already have.

The Asian manifolds often simply copy the most popular manifold, which is the Thermo. That is why you see so many manifolds that will use the Thermo parts. I would remind you that NO manufacturers recommends using anyone elses parts in their manifold, but often the parts will be the same in fit and function.

Dive Rite now has a stock item (VA3003-200) that is a short crossbar for smaller cylinders.

The DiveRite is not even close to short enough for most of these applications. It's still about 7 3/4" center to center. Thermo makes a non isolator crossover for 7.28" center to center but it's too wide also.

I am well aware of the risk of interchanging "clone" parts but it seems that some of these manifolds come off of the same assembly line and just get different brand stickers and boxes at the end of the line.

What tanks and which bands are your trying to double up?

The diverite crossbar is intended for lp45s and AL40s, how much smaller of a tank do you have and why? Or are you using small tanks with a different set of bands which are closer together.

You are correct about many coming from the same productions lines. Many of the technical diving supply companies us the manifolds from ODT. In that case, they are identical. This ODT manifold is also an internal copy of the Thermo.
