Since I am at work fo the next couple of days and do not have access to my books can someone answer me a couple of questions on tanks in Canada. Are we only allowed tanks with the TC stamp on them? Briefly, what are the major regs we are concerned with for scuba tanks in Canada? Thanks.

Standards numbers B339 and B340 covers what stampings are required.

Standard number Z94.4-02 covers the visual inspection requirements.

You can order copies of these from:

Canadian Standards Association

OK, so I guess I was not clear enough. I do have to info at home, but will not be there for 3 more days and just need a quick overview. I could order them, but I would have the info before thay arrive, so that is a waste of time. Why I as is I have the ability to add some more tanks to my collection, but some were from the US and wanted to make sure about them being OK in Canada before I take them. Thanks.

Most cylinders manufactured in the US have both the DOT and CTC stampings so are good in both countries. I do beleive that the CTC stamping is required, but like you, I don't know for sure.
