I am just starting to dive in the sea of NE coast of the UK, farne islands etc. This means that I'm diving deeper than I ever really have before so I invested in an pony bottle.

I was wondering how many people use them and what kind of configurations are used?

Thanks for any help

This is a fairly hot topic so there is plenty of stuff in the archives.

If you dive in the UK and you are not in a position to buy a twinset then a pony is a good option.

I prefer having it mounted like a stage bottle (side slung). This allows you to see the valve and reg for any signs of trouble and lets hand it off to an out of air buddy.
