China started its professional diving industry back in 1940s. There are more than 13 thousands active commercial and public safety divers currently in mainland china. owns the largest number of hyperbaric chambers in the world - over 800 chambers and thousands of certificated chamber operators, more than 100 scuba diving medical specialists came from several state labs and institutes, China has established outstanding dive safety research and rescue network in the past half a century. and moreover, China also owns a number of facilities to produce inert gases include helium, accurate blending gas and all technical diving gear configuration.

Huge potential of Technical Diving in China
Karst accounts of 30% of Mainland China's geology. China has almost half of the caves bearing limestone in the world with hundreds thousands of Karst caves and springs. A large number of unexplored wrecks spread along the 32 thousands kilometers coastline and in over 3 millions sq. km. south/east china sea that used to be a famous commercial shipping route from thousands years ago. No doubt all these rich natural resources give us lots of opportunities in developing technical diving in China. A bright future indeed...

What is CTDC
Organized by technical divers for technical divers, CTDC-China@Asia Technical Diving Conference is aiming at establishing connection between China technical diving community and the world. CTDC not only gets direct support from technical divers society in China and Hong Kong, but also has wide connection with china underwater archaeology, speleologist, salvage organization, scuba medical research organization, oceanic administration and public safety agent. CTDC is the first platform that consolidate all resources related to Technical Diving.

The full program of CTDC include 2 days theatric speaker presentation to 350 professional audiences from China, Asia and world wide, CTDC will provide English to Chinese and Chinese to English simultaneous interpretation service, 12 booths technical diving exhibition, a series of technical diving fundamental /high level training workshop. discussion groups, exhibitor seminars, exploration diving activities to mysterious underwater sunken villages of Thousand Islands Lake. another exploration cave diving trip to the drainage area of HongShui River, Guang Xi, the most complex and amazing karst cave systems in china with many karst spring, sump, river sink and submerged karst cave to be explored.
