I never eat in Athens but they must have some
local (non-chain) restaurants that are good.
After an Athens Scuba Park visit what's your
favorite restaurants to visit?

I've been to Athens only a few times, but did find two local places that I thought were good. One was Julio's Market Chicken and Fish, which our dive club used for lunch, and the other was Roma Italian Restaurant. We ate at Roma for dinner. Their alfredo pizza was divine!

Thanks for the tip. The next time through I'll try to steer my gang that
way. I visited last Saturday but I didn't learn much of use since we
grilled some burgers because no one knew a good place to go. I saw a
Pitt Grill and a Mazzio's Pizza. I thought those chains shut down in the
80s. It's like Athens has been frozen in time.

I forgot to add that both Julio's and Roma are very close to the scuba park. You just make a left onto Tyler off of Murchison, and Julio's is just past the next street, on the left. Make a right on Tyler and Roma is in that strip center on the right.....you can probably enter that strip center directly off of Murchison. Take a look at Google maps and you'll see how close they are.
