Corpus Christi dive sites

I never hear anything about diving in the Corpus area. When I was a kid we lived in the area but did not know any divers. I moved from the area 35 years ago. I am thinking about a trip to the area but would like to include diving as part of the trip. I would appreciate any help regarding sites, operators boat or shore, salt and fresh. Please include sites as far south as Brownsville.
