Phuket Diving advice

I am heading to Thailand in November and will be in Phuket for a week. I would love to do some diving but am on a tight budget.

Which dive shops should i look to for being quality and on the cheaper side of things and are there any livaboard recommendations for cheaper diving?

Hi ya,

November is a great time to dive the stunning Similan Islands and the sites to their north.

Liveaboards are a great choice as they inlcude all your meals and accomodation for the trip. You can make four dives a day, night dives and travel to the best sites that are further out.

Have a look at MV Dolphin Queen as a great budget option.

We have made plans to go to Thailand next year as part of a medical relief team. I have found the following dive shop/manager extremely flexible and responsive as were are making some scuba plans in Phuket as part of our RR. If you do use Gekko, please send me a report of how it went.
