Does anyone have any idea how to clear or take apart a Canon Powershot A620 ? Its pretty much on its last legs now and since the red sea trip appears to have a large dust spot INSIDE the lens or on the sensor. How it got in there i dont know but its definitely not on the outside.

Its visible on most of my photos and anything taken at a narrow aperture is very noticeable and in a part where it affects most photos.

Not worth sending to canon as the canon is so badly battered and dented elsewhere they'll likely charge far more than a replacement camera.
Im willing to risk taking it apart myself as ive nothing to lose - currently its worthless.

I would suggest to send it to a qualified service, not neccesarily to a Canon official representative.
A qualified service will try to clean it. An official Canon service will replace everything damaged or with stains.
A qualified service will know how to disassembly your camera without breaking anything inside and the right procedure to re-assembly. If the price for the reparation is too high, you can abandon it in the shop.

I just had my G7 cleaned by a local shop in Seattle for $162 including tax. I would not do it yourself.

Give i can buy a replacement camera on ebay for £40 that would be paying 2-3x that just to try to get it fixed so not worth it.
