I just got an Olympus UFL-2 strobe for use with my Olympus SP-560 camera / PT-037 housing. Tray and arms from Ocean Optical.

I tend to be more interested in shots of friends and things to remember dives. I guess I'm the typical a point and shoot kind of photographer. I don't see myself doing a lot of manual setups trying for those outstanding shots I see many of you post.

So with that - While playing with the setup, and using the fiber optic cable, I see that I can use Remote Control mode from the camera or Slave mode in Auto or Manual. Is there any reason I would want to use slave mode since I have a remote control mode? Do you still use the difuser for the 560 flash? I seem to remember a post about blocking the front of the difuser but I can't find it.
