Here are a few pictures taken with the E-PM1, 14-42, +5 Subsee diaopter & olympus housing. Very happy with the results.

where in the Philippines did you go? BTW those mandarians are fun to shoot. Did you use you strobes on them? or just ambient light

I did a week on the Azores liveaboard and a week at Atlantis resort in Dumagette - the pictures posted were all taken in Dumagette. The pics of the mandarians were taken using a Sola 800 w/red light and then using the strobes. The mandarians didn't seem to mind the red light at all - but I bought the light right before the trip so I found it really hard to use the red light at night cause it you couldn't really see the fish well on the screen of the camera - I am sure as I use it more I will get use to it.

I also have a Sola 800. I find using the red light sometimes it imparts red shadows to my photos. My best mandarin photos were taken without a strobe. That was 2 years ago at Alona Beach and my dive masters wouldn't let me use the strobes because he said it would spook then. I was hesitant, there wasn't much available light and I had to push the iso way up and open the lens to pull it off. Then last year in Anilao I used strobes and my Sola 800 with the red light without much success.

I would lighten up your mandarin about a stop and push up the shadows, maybe a few other exposure tweaks.

Thanks for the photos. Would you mind possibly linking me to larger sizes? I'm debating this camera and really want to make sure the IQ is there. Much appreciated!

I have the same setup minus the strobes...still shopping and researching. When using your Inon's are you using TTL? And if so, have you had any trouble with TTL while shooting macro or WA?

I have uploaded some different pics for you to view. When I use my strobes I attached via optical cable and then I usually set them to 'auto' on the back. I really like this camera - very happy with the pictures taken with the kit lens.
