So which is the best nauticam tray for the OMD in the nauticam housing? The flexitray, flexitray II, or flexitray II W?

Any pics of your setup would also be appreciated!

Thanks!

This is what I use:

Edit1: Here are some photos. I modified the strap a lot, adding a D-ring for a lanyard.

The Flexitray II W is becoming the standard tray. I use it with my Nauticam OMD housing. Most start with two handles as it gives you a two mounting points for two strobes. Then you can place focus/video lights on the housing itself.

With the addition of a 4 pack of the Stix float you can easily shoot this set-up one handed. Just spent a week in Lembeh shooting macro: Nauticam housing, 2x Sea&Sea D1 strobes, and UK Aqualight, with the floats on 2x 7" IDas arms.

The system was close to neutral, soooooo much easier than the old DSLR system!

Great pics of your rig, Akimbo - and I appreciate the links! mjh, do you have a pic of your setup so I can see the difference between the regular and the wide tray? It looks like it would just add some room on the left handle side, correct?

Edit: I see on reefphoto's site the differences between the II and IIw, as listed below:
"Flexitray W adds two 1/4-20 threaded tripod mounting holes to the popular Flexitray II. The Flexitray W does not have the anti-rotation feature of the Flexitray. For compact and point-and-shoot housings that have only one tripod mounting screw, please use the Flexitray II."

So does the nauticam housing for the OM-D have dual tripod mounting screws on the bottom?

Ahh so it looks like either one can probably be adjusted to be about the same width wise...so then it really does come down to the mounting holes on the bottom of the housing, then. Does the nauticam housing have dual tripod mounting holes, or just one in the middle?

Dual ¼-20 tripod holes in the housing. I suggest calling a good Nauticam dealer like Reef or Backscatter (I am sure there are others) to make sure of all the small details. They are happy to help you figure it out and you have to buy it from one of them anyway.

Perfect, thanks for the info!
