1.any recommendations for a travel computer that still allows photo editing.

2. Macs or PCs for final editing?

3. What about the new touch screen pro?

Thank you!

The microsoft surface pro 2 is quite nice but can not be easily profiled. I would recommend the Mac air (light and runs lightroom quite well) and is pretty easy to travel with.

Sorry what do you mean by profiled? I am also looking at a lightweight travel computer that will run Lightroom

I have a MacBook Air with lightroom and I must say I agree with bvanant.

Light, small and fully functional.

Color profiling a monitor for consistent colors.

Model Name: MacBook Air
Model Identifier: MacBookAir4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 1.8 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 4 GB

I also bought a 1 TB portable drive to keep all the pics on to back up.

Be good to know which model air you guys are using. Ram and ssd size?

I have a brand new MacBook Air (the cheapest model) and use it for video editing and photo editing while traveling - same size as a tablet and very powerful for its size. 9 hour battery life too!

Cool, no problem with the 4gb ram over the 8gb? 128gb ssd or 256gb?
hopefully black friday will be good to me!

No problems for me. This thing is the fastest computer I have ever owned. No problems running lightroom or anything else.
