tips for ambient light underwater video with a compact light G16/rx100/lx7?

Hi guys i use acanon g16 and when light is good and on macro it performs excellent with awesome video quality but as soon objects are bit further or its abit darker it suffers from terrible focus hunting or it just gets blurry totally. Any tips or settings to improve that?

Hi there. You need a video/focus light if you don't have one already. Camera autofocus works on contrast detection and when it is dark and there are suspended particles it tends to fail
