Hi all,

Here's another silly question. I'm reading articles on file compression vs. resolution.
  • Does anyone use file compression "in camera"?
  • Do you ever change the aspect ratio from what's standard on your camera?

I personally don't but have a friend with a Coolpix and we're trying to decide if either of these would be a benefit for her.

Thanks for you thoughts/suggestions.

What benefit is she looking for?

No

No

FWIW I shoot a Nikon DSLR.

I'm not familiar with the Coolpix, but are you talking about "compression" as in some sort of lossless compression option or just simple RAW vs. JPEG compression?
