Hey all,
Super-newb here, been reading Martin edges book which has been extremely helpful, as well as tearing through the online tutorials on Photoshop cs5 including camera raw etc...
Trying to figure out when I use this micro diopter lens that I got with this setup I bought for my Olympus c8080 with ds50 strobe.
What is it, when is best to use it? I'm assuming for magnification of close up shots? Also I have a separate wide angle lens that I could use instead of the standard lens on my ikelite, this is my second trip down with my setup . Should I switch to the wide angle lens, I do a lot of 1-4 foot away shots and want to get VERY good at this, thank you!

If you are in to macro stuff (like 1 inch away)

then the diopter makes sense. If you are shooting a reef scene

then the wide angle makes sense. Otherwise just use the camera lens.
