We have a single male and female (both in their 40's) looking for a roomate to avoid single supplement for a SCUBA expedition to Siladen Island Resort and Spa, North Sulawesi September 24 to October 8 2010. So if any solo travellers out there wish to go on the trip of a lifetime then read on. The trip includes 8 nights at Siladen Island with 11 dives, welcome drink and massage; 1 night in Singapore, all meals (gourmet buffets and beach BBQs)all transfers...airfares...everthing!

Siladen Island, North Sulawesi, is a 6 star location! A superb small island in Bunaken Marine Park, long recognised as one of the centres of Ocean Biodiversity on this planet, it is highly regarded as a quality dive resort. This is a great destination for photographers - I took twice as many images here (with much greater variety) than during a week at Sipadan/Mabul and Kapalai!
Siladen are offering us the same great rates we got for our first trip in 2008 which amounts to Low season rates discounted further (we are travelling in high season!) with discounted dive package and dive courses as well! This is a huge saving and explains why most travellers typically regard Siladen as too expensive! At $2947.00AUD (or $2,560.97 USD) Gardenview Diver triple share all inclusive ex Melbourne (Australia), when one considers the high quality of the resort and the diving in superb Bunaken Marine Park, then this represents good value for money! Happy to do land content only with divers meeting the group in Manado - land content ex Manado would be $1,947.00 AUD or $1,691.86 USD.
Our trips to Siladen in July 2008 and 2009 were something of a gamble as we were the first Australian group to visit the resort and very little was known about it. But the gamble paid off we had an absolutely wonderful time and the diving was brilliant! Have a look at the website see Siladen Resort & Spa which has an extensive downloadable video of the resort and its diving. There is also a Siladen photo gallery at Flickr: Siladen Resort & Spa's Photostream It is very much what you see is what you get at Siladen the resort actually totally lives up to the glamour of the promotional material! I also wrote an article for Sportdiving a year or so back on Siladen, "Bunaken's Best secret" - go to http://www.divetheblue.net/pdf/135Si...template09.pdf for a on-line copy. Although the trips departs from Melbourne, we can easily cost it from other cities, or simply organise a costing on land content.
If you are interested at all then feel free to email me at awiggs@tps.vic.edu.au at any time and I will forward you more details.
