FREE Underwater Photography Workshop at Scuba Club Cozumel
Join us for the 6th Digital Workshop & Photo Contest at Sunday, August 5 - Friday, August 10, 2008
Here's your chance to pick up photo pointers from a pro and improve your underwater photography at our 6th Digital Underwater Photography Workshop and Photo Contest. This workshop is designed to show you how to use your digital camera and get the best shots possible when shooting underwater in Cozumel. No camera is too big or too small! Not only is this workshop a lot of fun, but you'll learn all about how to improve your underwater photography by shooting better and improving on what you've captured by using Adobe Photoshop.
The workshop is FREE to all guests of Scuba Club Cozumel this week. The rest of you can watch us from the Scuba Club Cozumel webcam!
Your instructor and host is Bonnie Pelnar, author of "The Digital Workflow for Underwater Photographers", part of a series of courses available at . Bonnie has made 30 trips to Cozumel and she knows where and how to find the best Cozumel has to offer and can show you how to capture it with your camera.
In addition to the presentations, slide shows and seminars, Bonnie will be available to dive with you each day. This year we will set up a special photographer's boat, so if you wish to dive with the rest of the shooters, you are welcome to come along.
INON America has joined in the fun and will be providing a variety of INON strobes and lenses that will be available for your use during this workshop. Please contact Bonnie well ahead of time so we can be sure to bring along the correct adapters and synch cords for your camera or housing! This is another great opportunity to try new products and accessories before buying! With the addition of an external strobe to your digital housing, you'll get GREAT SHOTS!
At the end of the week we'll be having a photo contest with awards and prizes!
It looks like editing my original post is not an option, so I'll just add to it. The dates for this workshop have been changed to August 10-15, 2008. We decided to do these dates so we could stay on for the full moon on August 16. There's nothing more memorable than a Cozumel full moon night dive! Hope you can join us!
Since my original posts we've signed on several new sponsors who will be providing demo gear for participants to use. So in addition to having Inon there with tons of strobes, lenses and accessories, we've got Mike from H2O Photo Pros joining us too. He'll be bringing gear from Olympus and Light & Motion. We're working on Sea & Sea too! This will be a great addition to our already REALLY FUN week at Scuba Club Cozumel. Hope you can join us!
