If you have facts, share them. Otherwise let's get back to rumor, speculation, and misinformation, the foundation upon which the internet was built. And if you want to experience Florida diving like the locals, get your info from the locals.
I'll keep this short, I have a very busy day in front of me, something about an invasion....
We had a great time on the Dantor and the Ebeneezer II. One of the highlights of the diving was hanging with this guy for 20 minutes on the Ebeneezer II:
I love sea slugs. : - )
I also played with an octopus on the reef next to the Eb II.
Conditions: 84 degrees in the water, 70' on viz on the Dantor and 30-40' on the Ebeneezer II. Seas were about 2'. After the diving, eight of us hit the Quarterdeck for some craic. American Dream II was on their "A" game as usual.
On July 23rd, we're planning to dive the Rebel (115') followed by the Traci/Scutti/Merci Jesus wreck trail. PM me if you're interested in that plan.

You got a really nice angle on that shot - Great picture!
Those Florida Regal Sea Goddesses are really nice to photograph. I got a few shots of one on the Mercy Jesus last month, thanks to Tim (Netmage) who was kind enough to point him out to me, because I hadn't seen it, but my pictures ended up a bit over exposed, but I still like them! Here's the shots I got.
Conicidently, yesterday while sitting in my orthopedic's office, waiting for him to look at the sore shoulder I've developed from carrying all the heavy diving and camera equipment, I saw a great article in National Geographic dedicated to Nidibranchs. The article provided some interesting information about the life of a nudibranch and had a few pictures of several interesting ones.
If anyone is interested in reading the short article, here's the link:
There's even a four minute narrated video slide show that provided some great information, including much of the same information that's in the artice itself, but it's worth watching, because it shows lots more pictures of nudis! Here's the link, but don't forget to hit the full screen mode when you watch it:
I can't take credit for the shot, it's a "stock shot" off someone's nudi website.

So then we'll give you credit for having a good eye and picking a nice shot to show as an example of what you saw!
Hey Brian, I noticed you're booked on the Saturday PM dive to the Duane/Snapper Ledge on the Republic Diver. I'm also on that dive, so I'm looking forward to finally meeitng you!
Do you know what this snapper ledge is like? I'm assuming it's shallow, but is there any truth to the "ledge" part? And if so, any clues on what we should expect? I'm only asking, because if there's no real ledge, then I might swich my camera's port and shoot macro on that dive w/ my close-up lenses.

As I understand it, we'll lose the sunlight due to the huge schools of fish swarming us
I've done this dive before but I don't have any particular notes about the dive in my logbook. I'm thinking the macro lens probably wouldn't be the best choice on this location. The profile is flat on the download graph so either the ledge is minor or I stayed on one side of it.
BTW, I meant to write this before. Your shots show more of the true color that I saw on the one last night
