Bruno's are proud to be hosting a three-day buddy and instructor training course [MS Word Doc] for people who would like to get involved in helping handicapped people to take part in and enjoy scuba diving.
Diveheart provide and support educational scuba diving and snorkeling experience programs that are open to any physically impaired child or adult in the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person.
The HSA is the world's leading authority on recreational diving for people with disabilities and operates as an independent diver training and certifying agency.
Jim Elliot from Diveheart will be at Bruno's Dive Shop from July 4th - 6th conducting Handicapped Dive Training for Instructors & Buddies. The training is open to Assistant Instructors & Divemasters ...AND..... Interested Openwater, Advanced & Rescue divers can also attend for buddy certification. For those who have already completed the class and would like to sit in for a refresher, you can do so with no charge.
We are really excited about this, not least me (many of my most rewarding try scuba experiences have involved introducing those who never thought they would or could be able...)
The course will involve a day of lectures, a day of pool work and a day of open water work, which weather permitting, could be out in the Sanilac Shores Preserve on our charter boat - The Great Lakes Diver.
Costs are $375 for the instructor course and $200 for the buddy course.

Hope to see you there
