Nearly a year later no volunteers needed now, there is nothing to recover. The diving is great at the moment.

I just noticed this thread and thought you might be inerterested in the following web site. It contains still photos of the tsunami as it struck one of the resort areas in Thailand. The pictures were taken from sailboats anchored off the beach. There is a harrowing account of the disaster from people who were very, very lucky.
