Fingers crossed its just IT out of hours work - its currently 6am there!

I also fired an email off the the tech contact as listed by Whois.

I noticed it's been out since last night. Found out when I tried to sync my last dive. I've PM'd Laura to see if she has any information. Who knows, maybe it's down so they can load the trimix update...

That had crossed my mind but I didn't want to say it out loud.

You may recall that they said the Trimix update would require a re-write of the logging software as well and computer firmware update.

Not sure though that it should take out all of their site for that though but working in IT as I do, stranger things have happened!

Thanks Laura!!

DNS settings need updating and ttl on the dns pointer file set to 20 minutes for next 24 hours and all will be good again (You can tell I've done this stuff a few times)

Fixing this after the fact is next to impossible. It is good to plan your move and execute on the plan ahead of time.

Reducing TTL ahead of time is a must for such move. If not, certain parts of the internet might experience issues up to 2 days.

As of now uemis.com is up for me but uemis.org is still down. (flushing DNS didn't help)

Did I mention that uemis has to give us a way to download dives to the local system WITHOUT HAVING AN INTERNET CONNECTION?

So no, an export function from the uemis.com website is not sufficient.
I need to be able to download the dives to my local computer.
The uemis Zurich already supports all the functionality that is needed. All the .jar needs to do is to write non-encrypted XML to the virtual drive that it exposes to the user... you could document the XML format but even without it - I'm sure we'll reverse engineer it in a heart beat.

The UEMIS site is working again. I'll download my latest dive today, after I get home from work. Glad to see the site is up again.
