The seller, I assume the court, is putting together all of the info of what is for sale so someone can make an offer. They are going to get that to me as soon as they have it available.
WOW!!!
I sure hope that there's a reasonable chance that you might pick up the pieces and continue uemis as an internet based business. I think the computers have tremendous potential and with a smarter business person behind this would be great...

Good luck with this! I really hope you make it. Wish I had $ to do the same or to go in. Oh well

“There’s a big difference between tolerance and respect. Tolerance is you saying something crazy and me smiling and saying ‘that’s nice.’ Respect is when you say something crazy and I say ‘you’re out of your f—ing mind.’ Direct confrontation, direct conversation is real respect. And it’s amazing how many people get that.” - Penn Jillette
[countdown=7/7/2020 12:00 PM]Count down:[/countdown]until my new dive buddy - grand daughter can take her OW class!.
LOL.....I'm not looking to buy it....I'm looking to help find a buyer though That is not something I am looking to pay the Insurance on:popcorn: BUT I do want to make sure we all can still have these serviced and this stellar computer lives on!
I have a few people waiting to hear what I find out. If anyone else is interested in purchasing, call me. As much as I would love to, it doesn't make sense for us to get into all that. We will leave that to someone else with more connections into the manufacturing world.
Be warned that since the 2.4" active matrix OLED in the Uemis was discontinued a year ago, their product can no longer be manufactured unless they still have a few in stock. So keep that in mind if you intend on buying up the rights. In fact if they ran out of OLED stock, that may be the reason they went under.
Really??? I question that, even if they could no longer get "their" screen, there are MANY others out there and a mold change and they are back in business. Yeah it would cost a few grand, be a PITA and annoying, maybe even mess delivery for 6 months. Considering I hear they were 4 million in debt when they were closed the OLED screen is the least of the issues.

If they were that inept that they had not by now found and designed in a replacement for a part discontinued a year ago - and for which they very likely had the opportunity to make a last time buy - then it is unlikely they would have gotten as far as they did. I would be hard pressed to believe that this was the case. Are you seriously suggesting that they would spend a year doing nothing about it and watch the company fall in around them as a consequence? Are you seriously suggesting that they could design a good product but somehow lack the skillset to adapt that design to changing parts availability? What do you gain by making such suggestions? You give yourself no credibility with this.
Eric, research everything on uemis, there is a ton of info, yes, europe websites.
Why now are you posting, when mike is trying for buyer.
Competition, keeps the price up.
Also, there are so many divers that like these computers.
Mike we have a diver here in washington, he has some kind of computer software business, Bill something, I hear he is generous, and has a suggestion box for Ideas.Just an Idea.
My self the old navy tables, and some old depth gauges work fine for me, on Deep dives.

Maybe there should also be some offer to buy the ownership of the UEMIS websites Home - uemis - THE UNDERWATER REVOLUTION and Home - uemis DiveWorld as maintaining online those websites is pretty much for now a condition for users to be able to access, download and upload their information.
According to some online analysis based on name and traffic, uemis.com is worth nearly $1000 and $800 for uemis.org . Not a big investment but a sure loss for the users if those websites go down...
