Spearing in Key West.

Hey im going on a trip to Key west July 5- the 10th and have just purchased my first speer gun. Ive been diving for about 3 years now. Ive been interested in speerfishing for
quite some time and decided this was the perfect opportunity to buy a gun because im gonna be camping so some fresh fish would be awsome!! But it also looks like ALOT of fun. I no nothing comes easy, is it possible to get alot of fish your first time? Also what is the best fish to be looking to shoot in the keys? I was thinking mangrove snapper im still not up to parr on all the regulations like being 100 feet away from a dock and stuff I was hopeing id be able to go right off shore. Also what is the easyest way to reload the slings? It is reaaally hard to load them on my gun it holds 2 and i can only manage to get one pulled back far enough to load it and I no theres no way it can be easyer under water. So f you guys have any comments on these questions id greatly apprectiate them
Thanx.
