I know it's a little late but you will need a recreational scallop licence and that gives you 100 scallops a day the boylston river upstream from the bridge at Guysbourgh has lots of scallops , also I know that around Durrells island in canso has scallops, of you have a boat you can find lots of spots , hope this helps a bit.

Closed all around Nova Scotia at the moment.

I have never dove around Nova Scotia.

Hey thanks pacediver, I did know that I needed a license but didn't realise , though I should have, how much red tape was involved, but I soon found out after talking to some local fishermen who told me it would likely take a few weeks to get one. Nonetheless I did go for a short, fairly uneventful shore dive across Indian Cove. Thanks again for your response! Hopefully next time I will be a little more organized
