CA Freedive Spearfishing Charters in Fall

I've been trying to sign up for a freedive spearfishing charter to the Channel Islands, but noticed most charter companies don't offer any trips in the fall? Could someone explain why? Are there less opportunities as the water temps decrease?


Also, if anyone knows of any fall charters or has a boat and is looking for someone to split gas and brings tasty lunch let me know.
