What hawaiian slings would yall recommend for a newbie? Not looking to invest obscene amounts of money into one, but want one that isn't going to break on the first fish either.

Thanks

I have 4 divers in my family and we started with Hawaiian slings.

I didn't purchase a particular brand....I just got the cheapest one available. You can get ones that break down tethered with an elastic bungee sort of like a tent pole. I didn't like those because they seemed to come apart under water. The ones that have sections that screw together work well and are very convenient for transport.

I picked up a 48" aluminum solid body pole spear from a local diveshop with a 3 prong (non barbed) paralyzer.
