Using a Reefmaster, I tried to take a photo that was 1/2 above water and 1/2 below water. It turned out blurry.

Does any know the technique or necessary equipment to take such a photo?

Thnx,
Deb

The half/half photos you see in magazines were taken with cameras and lenses worth bazillion of $$$.

But then again....I've gotten decent results using a wide angle lens when the water surface was smooth as glass.

Hey Scuba Barbie

What's the Photoshop method for getting this effect?

cheers
Paul

Aha, working in layers. Of course!

Thanks Scuba Barbie. I will give that a go.

cheers

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I needed to know as well. Assuming it isn't a Reefmaster and yes, it probably cost gazillion $$, for a 1/2 and 1/2 shot, you probably need an air space between your lens and the water for a focused shot right? This effect would be possible with, for example, a dome port or something similar, am I correct? Somebody?.....Anybody?.....:)
