After a long break from UW diving, work is finally going to give me some time off later this summer to get in some diving.

I have some 3/4" locline joints laying around, and am looking at upgrading to a good sturdy Ikelite tray.

The question is, are these compatible with a 1" ball joint/system?

Anyway, I could have sworn I read this once upon a time, but am not having much luck with the search feature...

Thanks in advance.

I e mailed Ikelite a few months ago with that same question.
The answer is no they are not.

If you are using a point-and-shoot camera with a single strobe and want a compact setup you may want to check THIS TRAY out.

Try contacting Ryan at Reef Photo & Video - he may be able to assist with a solution.

Supposedly, if you are strong enough you can take the 3/4 inch loc-line large end and push it over a ultralight ball if you take the o-ring off the ball. Once you get it on, it doesn't move at all but it take a lot of push.
