Eel bites off (dumb) diver's thumb

The diver apparently wanted to get this moray more photogenic by giving it some food. He left his thumb in the eel's mouth and got a toe as replacement!

That was actually a divemaster in the Similan Island liveaboard. I have 'met' that moray eel he used to feed with sausage
Funny when diving staff do exactly what we teach divers not to do...

It was definitely not a recent event.

Stupidity knows no bounds......to sound cold and heartless, he got what he deserved IMO. I try to live my underwater life by the motto "Take only pictures, leave only bubbles"......I had never heard the motto involving leaving a thumb
