I'm interested in a POV camera for diving, but overwhelmed at all the information on the net. I am also shocked at the GoPro 3 price point. I was thinking about a Go Pro 2. Can someone tell me:

1-What would I need to get started? Accessories I should consider

2-Any pitfalls with the 2. Is the 3 really that much better?

3- what is the difference between the colors black , silver, etc

I want to get started at a reasonable price. I intend to take video in a quarry 70' deep. Not too worried about colors and pretty fish. Will I be able see submerged objects and large features underwater?

I looked at Intova and Midland but the reviews did not seem promising.

Any help appreciated.

Did you find anything yet? I have a go pro 2 that I want to sell, with many accessories. I will send you a PM.

You might look at the Sport HD II by Intova. It's a pretty good camera at a much cheaper price. there are several threads about the difference between the two cameras
