This is an unusual image in that it shows the mating/courting coloration for a Hairy Blenny (which is generally a drab blenny at other times), but it is out of season and there were no females nearby.

Then I noticed the remains of a crab claw embedded in its lip - hard to say who attacked who, but it is possible that the coloration of the blenny is being caused due to the stress of the encounter.

I guess all that stubble tips you off he's a male. Not to happy a camper either.
