I took this picture in Hawaii in Jan/Feb this year. I ordered books by Hoover and Humann and have begun trying to ID the fish in all the photos I took. However, I can't seem to ID this guy. As close as I can come is the inital phase of a Star-Eye Parrotfish. Any other ideas?

Sorry about that, I had some trouble with the photo. I'm having some difficulty in trying to figure out how to save something in the proper size so it will upload. I'm not doing too well.

Looks to be in the parrotfish family, if that is any help, and/or a start.

It appears to be the Star-Eye Parrotfish on page 93 of the Hoover "Hawaii's Fishes" book.
Many of the pics in the Hoover book are not real clear or colorful.
It is difficult to tell if it is in the "initial" or "terminal" phase. My best guess is the "initial" phase.

It's definately a Parrotfish. But I know next to nothing about the Pacific species.
