I've been reading the "Things you've found under water" thread with interest and I noticed that a lot of divers sell what they find- anchors, fishing tackle etc.

What I'm wondering is is are these private sales, or is there a brand/type of shop that would pick up this stuff. Is ebay is best option?

Depends on what you have/find....Usually it's a net work of private buyers/sellers [like antique dealers]...For me w/fossils, it's private buyers...I post a pic of something rare and it goes round the world, Russia, UK, Japan etc.....Something like a brass port hole, [always in demand] ship's bell etc. it's a local net work......
