I'm a Fish!
Found a very old clay smoking pipe, perfectly intact! From what I can glean from the Interwebs, I'm thinking it was made in the 17th century.

Any suggestions for cleaning this pipe? One source suggested passing it over a blue natural gas flame from a stove burner - he showed the end result & it did look impressive.

Then again, I could just leave it as I found it, showing the effects of being submerged for 100's of years.

Thoughts?

Regards,
DSD
