Have you checked the buoyancy of the set up? My parts are coming next Tuesday I am thinking of 6 STIX jumbo 4 on the tripod legs and one on each lights
As I use locline and not metal arms (Handles TR-DH and short extention TR-DUP) I am slightly concern this may tilt in water

Haven't gotten it wet yet, I'm working with the LX7 still figuring it out. I'd imagine to make the most out of the tripod, you'd want this to be negative to a degree in order to stay put.

If you don't put any floats I think you are looking at around 1Kg that is far too much to carry around for me. With one pound negative and 3 legs it should be fairly stable in all conditions or not?

For hand held shots, I like my system neutral. When using a tripod I like it very negative. You would be surprised how a little surge and current can move a camera sitting on legs on the bottom. I used to carry an extra 3 lb soft weight to place on top of the camera to steady it for macro shots with a tripod.

Ok the point is that I don't plan to have two set ups but just one this tripod looks like you can fold the legs under so that would also be my handheld
Maybe I just load it with a few weights when I put it down
The other option is to have the handheld when you dive on walls and the tripod when you are on flats? I am pretty sure there still will be a degree of handheld though
I am having decent result with the human tripod that is to get down on your elbows and lock the camera in position
Obviously it won't be as good as a proper tripod but is flexible
I will have to see what to do once I get the parts

Does anybody think there is any danger putting your rig in a hot tub to test? Water would be about 101 degrees? Just wondering cause this would be a very ready, easy method for me to use instead of filling a bathtub or a garbage can up with water. But if it would cause any problems, I don't want to attempt it.
