I was diving in the Florida Keys with Conch Republic and came across a huge loggerhead resting on the bottom. As I prepared to film it, it ascended to the surface for air. Unfortunately my camcorder battery was near dead and I could only film 7-8 second sequences of it before the battery died, then I could restart it and film another sequence. Not exactly smooth video! Captain Gary saw it at the surface and said it was the biggest loggerhead he has ever seen. I've filmed them elsewhere (with a fully charged battery!), but never one that big!

The one I dive with all the time is about 450 pounds.

I had the pleasure to film this big guy in Cozumel Mexico a couple days ago. Short video. If the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_kc0eYYVjs
Nice scenes of the turtle. The video looks remarkably good. Hard to believe it was a GoPro. I guess the Hero 4's 4K is a big improvement over the 3.
Btw, which lights did you use? They seemed to do a good job.
