Diving at Schluchsee, the biggest lake in Germany's Black Forest at an elevation of 930 meters (3050 feet) above sea level. This lake was pent up in 1932 with a 60 meter dam, raising the level of the lake another 30 meters (100 feet), sinking the old dam, boat jetty and some houses (which have been demolished, only the foundations are still there) down to a depth of 20-25 meters. During WW2 the lake was covered with peat to hide it from allied airplanes looking to bomb the dam wall. This peat sank to the ground and gives the water today a very dark brown tint, and below 8 meters (30 feet) it is pitch dark. The peat is still at the bottom of the lake - one kick with a fin, and visibility goes sub-zero. This was filmed with a GoPro 4 Silver using two L&M Sola 2100 VIDEO lights.
