I recently returned from a 2 week trip to St. John, USVI where I snorkeled A LOT.
Before the trip, I upgraded to a GoPro 4 Silver & did a bunch of research on this site, since scuba has the most people videoing underwater.

I didn't find a comprehensive video on YouTube about recommendations on videoing while snorkeling, so I decided to make one. I'm not an expert by any means, but I thought this might help some others.

I cover equipment (pole vs. head/hand mount vs. tray), camera settings (FPS, resolution, power saving, etc), getting good shots & some on editing. Most of the info is not camera specific.

If you have suggestions or other tips or comments, feel free to add them below.

Oh and if you don't want to watch the whole video, I added detailed cliff notes in the YouTube description area.

Yea, how about not shoving your pole down into a shot some guy with a camera has spent 10 minutes setting up.

I had a nice shot I was getting ready to film as soon as the sun popped out from a cloud & somebody jumped into my shoot, and the fish all scattered. Ugh.
