Port Hardy

I'm heading up to Port Hardy next week for some diving. Just wondering, has anyone dove here? We are only going to be shore diving, so any recommendations on sites, and what to expect and whatnot, would be greatly appreciated!

On the way up there, Rock Bay Marine Park is not too bad, shallow sponges(5-10m). A bit off the main road, and a campground is there now. They charge $5, but you can use their dock. I can send you directions if you want. I couldn't find too many shore dives up around Port Hardy when I was there.

You also might want to contact the dive club up at Port McNeill.

There's shore diving in Port Hardy?

Sure is! Anywhere that water meets the land, you can shore dive. But really, I have heard of a couple shore sites up there that are supposed to be pretty cool. I was just looking for details on them if anyone here has happened to dive them.

Going to give a dive shop up there a call and see what they have to say, I think.
