Larson Bay, shallow and sheltered cove and off the beaten path so no dive classes, but no deeper then 50ft, good for a nice long slow dive

Any of the sites in or around Browning Pass. I can't believe it took me so many years to make the trip! It's so saturated with life it is overwhelming. The phrase, "Life upon life" to describe Browning Wall has almost become cliche, but that only proves its truth.

It is impossible to break down the highlights of the area into digestible morsels. Whether you're a fan of macro life or the big stuff (sea lions, wolf eels, dolphins, etc) it delivers. Besides, there's something mind-blowing about having a dive briefing interrupted by a vocal bald eagle or surfacing from a dive only to watch humpbacks or orcas pass by.

what is the depth of those corals?

the small corals (up to 12") start around 120' depending on tidal exchange. The large corals start at 170' on the wall at the point. If your headed that way give Scott & Jude a call at Tahtsa Dive Charters. 1.866.934.6365

believe it or not, my favorite dive in BC is probably "Singing Sands"

why?

-shore dive = free
-close to home
-easy access
-never know what you're going to get: 100' vis or 5' vis
-low stress
-after diving there alot, you always see new things, or at least the old thing in a new manner

but, well, the Capilano, Gulfstream, Mozino Wall/Corrals are nice too I guess....:cool2:
