a video of our recent trip to observe the Adams River salmon run. It's also my first attempt at narration.

Nice vid as always Dale. Much better footage than I got last weekend while I was there.

The vis was not that great this year. Last year it was much better. We were wondering if the salmon themselves were stirring it up.
I was completely taken off guard by the crowds in Roderick Haig park. NOT my cup of tea and I'm glad I decided to look in that side channel the next morning for some clear shots.

Yeah, most of my shots are just visible with the viz. Although, later in the afternoon, there were some brave salmon that didn't mind me being there (and the viz seemed to get marginally better), well maybe one did as he kept on bumping into one of my pockets for a while.

I didn't see the crowds, we boated over from the pull over in Sorrento.

There weren't any at the beach but we foolishly wandered over to the park on Saturday... Mother of Pearl. It was like walking in a shopping mall at Christmas time.

We stayed at the Cottonwood campground (formerly West Beach Resort) and for dive two I entered the water right at the south end of the campsite and swam down to the river (the fish were up the lake that far anyway). Dive one we used a small dirt access road that leads almost to the beachhead.

Very Nice man, I enjoyed it, thanks for showcasing my home...I am going to share your video in a few places..

I have about an hours worth of footage, heading back out Saturday for some more

Looking forward to it. Curious if the vis got any better? We were speculating that perhaps the salmon themselves were stirring it up (dunno). It wasn't like that last year.

Well, I did find the viz kind of lacking...Between the fisherman, the divers, the boat traffic, and the fish all caused issues...Last Saturday there were 70 divers out there, so anytime you have that many fins in the silt..

The crowds in Salmon Arm were quite crazy for October, it was like a second summer...I am heading back tomorrow, I will let you know about the viz
