One of the great things about America is that citizens have access to the courts to seek redress of wrongs. That is not the case everywhere. Filing a lawsuit is not the same as winning a lawsuit, and winning a lawsuit is not the same as collecting. Frivolous litigation seems to have become an object of fascination amongst the public and tabloid press, but I don't view it as a symptom of a deeply troubled legal system.
I see Norwalk denied her $100 claim--I'm surprised she didn't have a $1 million dollars of pain and suffering.
