Only in America ...

I mean ... where else in the world can somebody sue the city because their little precious stepped in dog poop?

Woman files claim, saying dog feces ruined family outing

But to paraphrase Arlo Guthrie ...

... but in America there is no hypocrisy, and there is no discrimination, 'cuz they'll sue anybody ...

you mean the same country where a woman sued because she poured her hot coffee in her lap?
The famous/infamous "McDonald's Coffee Spill Lawsuit" revisited | slip-and-sue.com

or a Judge sued for $65 million because a dry cleaners lost his pants?

Didn't that guy lose his job or something because of that? Or was that something similar somewhere else?

You might sue, but you don't automatically win do you? And you still have to pay costs if you lose.....

I remember years ago in Amsterdam.....

Someone stuck little cocktail sticks with a little white flag on them in all the poops in an entire street - there were HUNDREDS of them! He took a photo and sent it to the newspaper.

One of the great things about America is that citizens have access to the courts to seek redress of wrongs. That is not the case everywhere. Filing a lawsuit is not the same as winning a lawsuit, and winning a lawsuit is not the same as collecting. Frivolous litigation seems to have become an object of fascination amongst the public and tabloid press, but I don't view it as a symptom of a deeply troubled legal system.

I see Norwalk denied her $100 claim--I'm surprised she didn't have a $1 million dollars of pain and suffering.

I did that, then I looked at the snopes page and saw that most of them were bunk.

No you don't but the person being claimed against could go broke defending the claim.

I guess people are always trying to blame others for things not going right...this is not just in the US but everywhere in the world.

Its all part of the Sissification of the world.

yep.. he was an appointed judge and didn't get re-appointed.

but since 99% of most judges are lawyers, it still means he's still out there most like practicing law somewhere...
