It never fails. I just can't figure it! I go out and with the very last few dollars of my check, I buy a fishing liscence and lobster tag. Then it rains all thru mini season. So, I shrugged it off thinking "oh well, I have all season to catch those tasty bugs."
So, the season opens and what happens, you guessed it, T.S. Fay...So again I thought " No big deal there will be plenty of bugs left and there will be many good days to get the kayak out to the reef."
Now this Gustav is going to miss us totally. Hurray? Yeh Hurray for Florida, but not Pygar. Pygar goes out to the car today and guess what?...blown alternator... I just can't catch a break!!!!!
That sucks. Every time I had something planned, my teen would pull a bonehead stunt that cost me big bucks and a lot of emotional turmoil. I'd take bad weather over that crap anytime.

Sometimes it really seems like we get a string of bad luck, I mean when the dryer breaks down and we say " this is really a bad time for this" but.. is there ever a "good time" for the dryer to break down?
Sometimes when the wife complains and says we have really bad luck I tell her no we have good luck.. I mean it could be worse.. either of us OR the kids could be eat up with cancer or some other bad disease.
It's easy for me to tell you things aren't that bad pygar, but try to just shake your head and smile
Feeling the same pain, but....big picture? Most of us have visited Mexico on the Yucatan P...Cancun, Coz, Costa Maya, Majahaul....Leave the tourist area and folks a re glad to eat each day. No, I'm no bleeding heart, I just see the povert and remind myself of it when I sweat the petty stuff....(Always'd rather pet the sweaty stuf!!!!...eeeew....)
Seriously though, were really an industrious nation and we get so used to the comforts that we work hard for that the absence seems relatively tradgic at the time, eh?

I agree with everything that the others have said. Just when I am feeling a good pity party coming on, a 45 yo friend is diagnosed with cancer or someone I know is laid off and I am faced with the blunt realization that my life is pretty blessed after all.
But, I am a true believer that no matter HOW trivial our problems seem globally or in the eyes of others, we just need a good WAH! or GRRRRRRRR.
And, sometimes I just want someone to WAH (or GRRRRR) with me.
So, Pygar, I completely feel your pain, and I am sending your way a hearty GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR at the run of bad weather you have had to deal with.
Nats
PS - I love boiled and broiled lobster. Send one my way to MI!
