    you asked about toothpowder. The best one i've found is Eco-Dent which comes in a variety of flavors. tastes great, leaves mouth feeling fresh and gets through the security check easily. convenient packaging for carry ons as well. health food stores seem to be the best place to find this stuff (whole foods, wild oats or local stores) but i recently saw that it was on amazon.com as well. the company has a website with lots of great info! www.eco-dent.com they even have a link to Oprah Winfrey's site indicating she has it in her medicine cabinet on her apartment tour.
