Cute! Will it hold up to the friction from booties or fins rubbing? Mine always starts to peel after 3 or 4 days

20 of us went to Fiji and did the same thing (without the jewels). OPI seems to hold up the best. Get a few coats of clear on top of it.

Yes, definitely put a topcoat. I find the Revlon Step 2 works really well in holding the jewels/nailpolish on. But with scuba, those jewels are surely going to fall off. For me, the pedicure lasts really well for scuba other than the jewels. But the manicure doesn't last at all...

I like the new gel polish mani/pedi, lasted three weeks for me in Grand Cayman and Cozumel diving last month... Worth the extra cost!

Had it done last year for a week of diving at Tobermory, Ontario. Lasted great. No problems with rub off in bootie. Manicure is a different story.

Thanks for the tips! I don't even try manicures when diving; soaking in salt water then handling metal clamps guarantees torn up fingernails for me! But I love cute toes when I'm wearing sandals or going barefoot.
One tip I can share for do-it-yourselfers--they make white polish in felt tip pens for doing French manicures, which also work great for dive flag stripes.

I love gel polish!! It is definitely worth the extra cost.... It also isn't effected by sunscreen like regular polish is... I'll never go back!!

    BTW - very cute Swim_Mom
