It all depends on what you want to do.

If you like what you learn from GUE, you can do technical diving and cave diving courses with them, but they don't do wreck penetration classes.

If you don't like Fundies, one could question how much you'll like ANY technical training, but there are other agencies and instructors who teach technical, cave, and wreck courses. Look for a good, conscientious and demanding instructor.

If you fill out your profile information so that people know where you are, you may get much more detailed and pertinent information.
 
I would think it best to simply start with entry level in whatever tec course you are interested in, but it would seem that there are some fundamental tec courses you should take regardless...Advanced Nitrox to deco to extended range would be some examples...
 
A wreck specialty class is good if you are considering any type of penetration or diving with an overhead obstruction. I have not yet taken any NITROX classes but do plan to this year.
