Thanks for the poll / post! I was thinking about doing the same thing, but had no idea where to start. We're burning / cutting / punching a hole in a $1.5K suit, and most likely can only do it once... Not a bad idea to find out which valve works out best.

I agree I can be guilty of over thinking. But as i've never done this before, or know anyone who has (except on the forums), I want to make sure I do it correctly the first time. I trust myself to do my best work when I have thoroughly researched the installation process, starting with the purchase of the best possible valve for the Fusion suit, with all of its original design.

So over think...maybe. But happy with my work after it's done...probably.

All the best,
Geoff

Agreed. I over thought this because no one I knew installed one before I did-but all the possible issues ended up being non-starters.

If I had to do it over again:

1) I'd get a balanced valve from my LDS.

2) I'd have them install it.

3) I'd deal with the lycra by burning it if I had to. Otherwise I wouldn't mess with it.

Gee you have it easy...
1) none of my LDSs sell pee valves
2) none install pee valves and if they did it would be minimum $200 I bet

You'd be hard pressed even to find a local diver with a pee valve. Some of us have to over think this on the internet :D

Well, after absorbing all the info in the threads these last weeks, I decided on
the Halcyon Streamlined. Great deal on Wreck Diver Supply, $159 plus $6 shipping. Does that mean I've gone to the "dark side"?
"...once they get you in their grip...". I don't think so.

So I finally cast my vote for the Blue H.
Hopefully I'll receive it and install it in the next week.

All the best,
Geoff
