Unbelievable...I made it through all 32 pages..in one sitting..lol

lots of interesting debate here..

I contemplated buying a spare air, as I only had a single Al80 when I started..never have dove with it yet as I quickly found a sweet deal on a pair of steel 72's and twinned them up, independent regs, creating my redundant air source. That being said, I am still a hoover, so am thinking on slinging my al80 for my pony/stage. I have two of them now, one for nitrox, one for reg air..

Being the gear junkie that I am ...I did pick up a 6cu' pony because it was pretty...think I will pack it when I am doing some shallow dives with a single tank...if I ever dive single again..lol..

I think maybe I just wanted to contribute to this thread..as I am not sure if I am on topic or not..but I really hate to see a classic thread die.

Ladies & Gentlemen - It gets down to one of these trains of thought. If I am in a situation of life or limb, and need a bail out - Do I remember:

A) That I love Baywatch.

or

B) That I'm sure glad I brought my 19 cu ft with me, and that standard high functioning regulator.

The after self rescue that thought should then be how and why did I get myself in that situation?

Can you walk far with 3 full size tanks?

Nah, it won't die - or another will take its place...

My pony/stage will not be attached until I hit the water, unless we are boat diving, which is then a moot point. All the shore diving I have done, hasn't included a lot of walking. If I plan for a longer dive that I am taking the pony/stage and the walk is long, I will account for two trips to the waters edge..:D but yes, I could walk a decent distance IF necessary.

Hmm..maybe I could hang out at the beach, packing my 6cu around..possibly the ladies might mistake me for a lifeguard?:D

Gotta keep this going! Surely we can get to 400 posts!

I know.....

Spare Air is better than a pony bottle in every way. Especially the Nitrox model.

That ought to be good for 200 posts easy.

There is a Spare Air hanging on the wall of the aquarium, but there is so much mung in the mouthpiece I think I would rather drown than breathe it...

Will rebute that with a - when monkeys fly out of my butt.

Anyone have an avatar of Monekys flying out of a butt?
